connects teacher candidates with school systems nationwide.
Students
and
alumni from participating
consortium schools are welcome to attend.
Attendees
must prove their affiliation with a
member institution to gain access to the event.
This
event is
closed to all others.
Candidate
Day at NOTED

a.m.
Doors
open.
7:30
a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Candidates will
be directed to a waiting
room
where they will complete registration cards. Participating school
district information and a floor plan will also be distributed.
8:30
a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Teacher Candidate Pre-Screening.
This is the only open
period where students may network
with school district representatives. Please be advised that there are
often long waiting lines to meet with representatives from Northeast
Ohio districts. During the pre-screening period, some students may be
invited to an afternoon interview(s).
11:00
a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Lunch /
Optional interviewing time (Lunch available at the John S. Knight
Center or in the surrounding downtown area locations)
11:30
a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Interviews by
school district invitation
only,
scheduled at 20 minute intervals.
In March 2013, we hosted over 50 employers and over 550 teacher
candidates!
Founded in 1999,
the twelve member schools that comprise our consortium
include:
NOTED is a consortium
of Northeast
Ohio Colleges including Ashland University, Baldwin Wallace University,
Cleveland
State University, Hiram College, Lake Erie College,
Malone University, Notre Dame College, University of Akron, University of Mount Union, Ursuline
College,
Walsh
University, and Youngstown State University.
